Education
I attended Dodge City Community College and earned an Associate of Arts Degree, then I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, OK.
Experience
I have taught math for 10 years. My first 2 years were in Elkhart, Kansas. I then taught 7-12 math at Cimarron, Kansas, for the last 8 years. I coached JH volleyball and basketball all those years, and I also have coached track, tennis, and cross country. I have sponsored numerous clubs and organizations, and I have served on numerous school improvement committees over the years.
Personal/Interests
I have been married to my wife, Mary Ann, for 15 years. We have two sons, Tanner is 13 and Jacob is 6. We also recently found out that we have our third child on the way and due sometime next spring. We love the mountains, which is one of the reasons we moved out here from Kansas. We are looking forward to the many activities available here! We enjoy doing things as a family and are hoping to expand our interests now that we are here. We are also big fans of the Kansas Jayhawks!!
My FLMS Pride
I have been amazed at how much I have been made to feel welcome and at home here at FLMS!! Mrs. Patterson has been such a positive and energetic person to be around, and it seems to be very infectuous! I think that even though we face some serious challenges here, the district is making every effort to give us the tools we need to face those challenges. Our kids deserve the best we have to offer, and that is what I hope to give them!
