I am honored and excited to be serving as Principal of Fort Lupton Middle School. I love the family atmosphere of the school and district. We're small enough to develop strong relationships and know one another beyond basic staff, student, and family interactions. I look forward to getting to know the families and greater Ft. Lupton community as the years progress.

I come from a long line of educators. Many of my aunts and cousins, my brother, both of my grandmothers have worked in education. My maternal grandmother ran an alternative school out of her home which served as a boarding house in the early to mid 1900s. She helped students who had just arrived in the United States and needed newcomer help and language skills before entering the traditional public school in town. She also helped students who needed alternative education skills before entering traditional public education.

I began my studies thinking I would be a German professor, but luckily I found my way to middle school education. I am fluent in both German and Spanish and have taught both at the university, community college, and secondary levels. Besides German and Spanish, I have taught language arts, social studies, study skills, Spanish for Native Speakers and am a certified instructor of yoga for children. After 15 years of teaching, I moved into administration and completed my post-master's certificate in educational administration from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro. I have taught in private and public schools, with administration experience in private, charter, and public schools.

I look forward to working with all of you and getting to know your students.

Assistant Principal Justin Roberts
Hi! My name is Mr. Roberts and it is an absolute privilege to serve as the Assistant Principal at Fort Lupton Middle School. Prior to my administrative role at FLMS, I taught a range of grade levels, including Kindergarten right here in Ft. Lupton. When the opportunity arose to join the administrative team at FLMS and return to Weld Re-8, it was an easy decision to make. I truly view my work at FLMS as a privilege, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with families that I have known for many years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master's degree in Curriculum Development and Instruction, and an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership. I hope to leverage the experience I have to continue the great work being done in Weld Re-8, and we are very proud of what we are accomplishing at FLMS. I'm proud to be a Bluedevil and I'm looking forward to the great things in store for Weld Re-8!

Hello Bluedevil families! My name is Darin Senseney and I serve as the Dean of Students/Athletic Director at Fort Lupton Middle School.

My educational journey dates back to 2009 when I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Secondary Education: Social Sciences degree. I continued my education in the years to come receiving a Masters in Education in the field of Educational Leadership…..also from the University of Northern Colorado. I have been a Fort Lupton Bluedevil, in some capacity, now for the past 13 years, with 11 of those years spent teaching Social Studies at the adjacent high school. The 2022-2023 school year provided me with an opportunity to expand my horizons when I was offered and accepted the job that I currently have here at Fort Lupton Middle School.

When I am not at school, and the weather is nice, I am out golfing. When I am not at school, and the weather isn’t so nice….I watch whatever sports are on TV. I am a sports fanatic through and through, and a die-hard supporter of the University of Virginia…..GO HOOS!

If you find yourself, in the weeks and months to come,  at a Fort Lupton Middle School sporting event, be sure to stop me and say hello. GO BLUEDEVILS!
