Administrative Staff

With great excitement and a deep sense of purpose, I begin my journey as the new principal of Fort Lupton Middle School. I bring with me 28 years of experience in education, including 19 years in school leadership across Colorado and Arizona. My professional focus has always centered on building positive school culture, driving academic achievement, and fostering strong connections with students, staff, and families.
I was raised in Philadelphia before moving to Arizona, where I began my leadership journey. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the founding principal of West Point K–8 Art Magnet School in Surprise, Arizona; principal of Webber Middle School in Fort Collins; and, most recently, principal of Chappelow K–8 Arts Magnet School in Evans. These experiences have strengthened my belief in the importance of strong relationships, high expectations, and inclusive practices that empower all students to thrive.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Temple University, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Cabrini College, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from Northern Arizona University. These academic experiences have profoundly shaped my belief in the power of student-centered, innovative, and inclusive learning environments.
Beyond the school walls, I’ve happily married to my wife Janette for 22 years. We are the proud parents of six children—two attending Colorado State University, two in high school, and two in middle school. As a family, we love spending time outdoors and embracing all the natural beauty and adventure Colorado offers.
I look forward to meeting each of you, listening to your hopes for our school, and working together to make Fort Lupton Middle School a place where every student feels known, supported, and challenged to grow.
Christopher Kieffer
Principal, Fort Lupton Middle School

Hello Bluedevil families! My name is Darin Senseney and I serve as the Dean of Students/Athletic Director at Fort Lupton Middle School.
My educational journey dates back to 2009 when I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Secondary Education: Social Sciences degree. I continued my education in the years to come receiving a Masters in Education in the field of Educational Leadership…..also from the University of Northern Colorado. I have been a Fort Lupton Bluedevil, in some capacity, now for the past 13 years, with 11 of those years spent teaching Social Studies at the adjacent high school. The 2022-2023 school year provided me with an opportunity to expand my horizons when I was offered and accepted the job that I currently have here at Fort Lupton Middle School.
When I am not at school, and the weather is nice, I am out golfing. When I am not at school, and the weather isn’t so nice….I watch whatever sports are on TV. I am a sports fanatic through and through, and a die-hard supporter of the University of Virginia…..GO HOOS!
If you find yourself, in the weeks and months to come, at a Fort Lupton Middle School sporting event, be sure to stop me and say hello. GO BLUEDEVILS!
Jim Roedel
District Wide Athletic Director
My name is Jim Roedel and I am the "new" but old Athletic Director. I served as Fort Lupton High School’s Athletic Director and Assistant Principal from 2015 thru 2021, and then had the privilege of serving as Weld Re-8's first ever Chief Operations Officer for the past 3 years. However, my heart has led me back to the high school where I will serve for the 2024-25 school year and hopefully beyond. For those that don’t know my journey, I was born and raised in Fort Lupton and graduated from Fort Lupton High School in 1993, I then attended Mesa State College where I played college football, graduating in 1998 with my Bachelors of Business Administration. I then obtained a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management in 2002, while I was working with General Electric Company. I spent 15 years working for GE in their Transmission and Distribution business, where I got an opportunity to travel the world and establish new products and services globally. I completed my Masters of Educational Leadership in 2017, and have been in the Weld Re-8 School District now for the past10 years, where I have also coached Boys Basketball at FLHS for the past 17 years.
I truly bleed blue and look forward to working with the Weld Re-8 Community to support our students reach their goals in life.
I have been married for 26 years and have 2 sons, 21 and 23 who both graduated from Fort Lupton High School. I enjoy all things sports and usually will spend any free time that I have with my family or golfing.
