Greetings to our amazing FLMS Families!
I hope everyone has had a restful break.
As we return from our much needed respite, many teachers at the middle school have conducted “restarts” in their classrooms. These “restarts” involve reviewing classroom expectations along with intentions of how students and teachers plan to finish the rest of the year, much like the very first day of school. These have been immensely interactive and have served as a relationship builder between students, teachers, and administration. This will set us ALL up for continued success for the remainder of the school year. We encourage you to ask your student(s) about the “restarts” they have done in classes!
Continuing with exciting changes at FLMS, our Language Arts classes are piloting a new curriculum called EngageNY! This program is inquiry-based and invites students to think deeply and take ownership of their learning. We are eager to see the learning opportunities this will present for our students.
I would also like to recognize a few students who have shown.... STAR students.
